  December 18, 2020

The fifth graders had a great time this last week of school before our holiday break! We read the classic book The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and talked about the true meaning of Christmas. We also had fun decorating our candles for the prayer service and exchanging gifts for our Secret Santa.

Hope everyone has a happy and healthy break and see you on January 5, 2021!

December 11, 2020

Fifth grade students had a great week back in the building!  We worked hard and played hard.  In Next Steps, fifth grade is diving into social justice and service learning with Ms. Kathol.  They are exploring the "What? So what? Now what?" model in relation to the critical issues addressed by their service partner, Project Linus, a non-profit organization that provides homemade blankets to children in need.

Today, we began to get into the Christmas spirit with a holiday-themed dress down day and Christmas trivia.  Students competed in their green and white teams.
