The fifth graders have been learning about poetry for the entire month of April. We have been reading a variety of poems and exploring poetic concepts such as imagery, onomatopoeia, metaphor, and hyperbole.
The students have had fun writing bio poems, acrostic poems, and odes. They have shown themselves to be a very creative bunch and have enjoyed reading their poems to the class.
