September 25, 2020

Our fifth grade students have experienced quite the transition to middle school this year!  Typically, in the spring of fourth grade, the students would have had a special "visit day" to the middle school floor.  Since this special visit wasn't a possibility last year, we held a Q & A session for the fifth grade students with current seventh grade students, Zayda and Molly.  The fifth grade students asked Zayda and Molly wonderful questions about what life was like as middle school went on.  Zayda and Molly shared their thoughts on the best books and most fun gym games as well as the schools they are researching for high school.  We will continue mixed-grade conversations like these throughout the year.

Reminders:

  • Tonight is Movie Night on the lawn.  The event begins at 6:30 PM.  We will be showing Disney’s Coco!

  • Students should bring a refillable water bottle every day.

  • Only HCA sweatshirts may be worn with the uniform.  They are available for purchase for $25.00.

  • Students should have a pair of headphones/earbuds for STEAM class each week.

  • Students should bring in their own tee shirt smock for art class.
